Does anyone have any idea of when it will be?? Some of us want to get vacation time in so we can get the time off to come. I am planning it. Just going to save and save and save. So need some help to know when to put time off

I am seriously considering coming too, but we're picking our vacations for next year already, so I'd like to know too.

Nitro 11 1/2 yr old Doberman; right front amp June 2014. Had 6 doses carboplatin, followed by metronomic therapy. Rocked it on 3 legs for over 3 years! My Warrior beat cancer, but couldn't beat old age. He crossed the Bridge peacefully on July 25, 2017, with dignity and on his terms. Follow his blog entitled "Doberman's journey"

Rene will know for sure, as she ad Jim and Wyatt are going.but last hear it was Memorial Day Weekend. It ran Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It was coordinated with Greyhound Rocks.
As you two already know, it's THE BEST VACATION EVER!!!
Oh gosh! Can't wait! Actually, I'll email Ingrid (Nixon's Mom) and see if she has the info het!

We're going to watch this thread too. Jasper and I might be able to make the trip. It would be a long flight for her but I think she could do it. We would make a weekend of it and want to do some sight-seeing too. Jasper at the White House anyone?!?!

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

The date doesn't matter too much to me, I can take off work fairly easy. My biggest concern would be where we have it, I may not be able to travel very far unfortunately due to money :/
So a weekend in May is fine with me. Just keep me updated 🙂

Domino had his left front leg amputate on May 13th 2014 after being hit by a car. He's now living a happy healthy life on three legs :)
Well, I can't plan from Iowa LOL. So I thought they usually had it memorial day weekend but I wasn't sure. Please someone step up and plan 🙂 I don't care if it is huge or not I am going to meet Sally this year and would love to meet some of the East Coast Tripawds. I made a promise this year and because of a dogs surgery around that time I didn't get to go out there so I am going this next Spring.

I definitely don't mind helping plan with someone, just don't know if I can do the whole thing myself lol. I know Blog Paws is in Myrtle Beach, SC May 18-20 I believe, so if we're trying to plan something around the time Jim and Rene are headed this way for that then we should either do the weekend before or after blog paws, the weekend after is Memorial Day weekend. So that would put it May 26, 27, and 28th if we do Friday-Sunday. So I guess location and such should be the next decision.

Memorial day weekend is good for me. That means I can take the friday before and the week after and spend a little time seeing stuff out there.

I have a couple suggestions for places, but mainly because they're slightly closer to me lol. Greenville, SC Charlestion, SC Savannah, GA Charlotte, NC.

I've put in an email to I grid to see if Greyhund Rocks is doing anything. It was Fredericksburg Va last hr and that was close to Washington for anyone interested.
One of the GREAT things about thst was they did an OUTSTANDING job of coordination...And it took a huge anount of time and effort arranging everything! Very, very easy for the attendees though! 🙂 They really made it an "event"...a true mini vacay!
I think if we're gon a have triawd family coming far a ds wide, we woukd want airport info, car rental, and on and on.
Anyway..letsw keep throwing stuff out there.
I'm afraid SC .may be a bit far for me to drive in my clunker car with crazy Frankie and his puppet Merry Myrtle.
But that doesn't mean it shouldn't be considered, okay?
Now, the extent of my coordination ability woukd be to set up something at the dog friendly park I did two hears ago when we had a small gathering. Picnic areas, shelter, dog area, etc. It was close to major highways. And certainly Virginia has a lot of tourism stuff....
And ELIZABETH....Blue eyed Jake, Tanner, ADORABLE ROSCO, and Milo saw Michelle's bump up ost and emailed me!!

I doubt I'll be able to come to Virginia again this time :/ It ended up being about a 9-10 hour drive for us and I spent way more money on that trip than I should have lol. I'm currently making about half the money I was back then so I doubt I'd make it. But I'm happy to help plan something if I can.
